Super condition stunning rolled gold Edwardian sovereign case made by dennison with stunning engraving 

Don't come up often in this condition bear in mind this was like carrying your wallet back in the day 

Hinges, spring all perfect, lock perfect very slight rub mark and to where the top ring bearing in mind it's would have been on a watch chain 

What is Rolled Gold? The process is fairly simple, usually two sheets of gold are used to sandwich another metal, most commonly copper or brass, but in some cases silver. This sandwich is then heated to bond them and then rolled out to form the raw material used to make the jewellery.

As above it was in effect a wallet to gold purity unknown but please note dennison made the best cases bar none

Holds probably 3 or 4 full sovereigns on the spring loaded plate I. E you buy your cheese in 1900 and go the next shop for some cocoa lol for the next Sov
