Change of monarchy

Thought I best ask this now as it maybe in bad taste later.

When the Queen dies and Charles/William takes over , is it likely that the last queen coin or first king coin be  more collectable than the others. And would this also be true for none British coins that bare our monarchs image.

Of course it's looking like like wil always be on the throne at the moment,  she looks in better nick than Charles

There is always the sentimental aspect to consider and this will be milked by the numerous "special editions" and commemoratives that will be issued to take advantage of the general public. However, it will depend on when she actually ceases to be the monarch and what the current coins situation is in terms of mintage numbers etc.

There will be proof sets specially struck of the new king in limited numbers and these will be especially collectable in years to come.

However, it may be a while following the succession before coins bearing the new monarch's image are struck. There is historical precedent for this on numerous occasions.
