2022 Sovereign design revealed?

Yes, I'm still positive as well. Now, throw in the mix the next Great Engravers release and we'll really see how the market reacts though... 🤔

None of the engravers series does it for me. If I'd of gotten the first couple at the beginning then maybe I'd be interested but as they're long gone and a hefty price to go back to I'm not following the series. The last one was so hyped and then crashed to the floor.

I would agree 100%.  I bought into the Great Engravers as well, not for profit as much as I like the designs.  I  might be a little behind in value but I still like the coins.  

A major difference I see is that people are comparing a historic design, the 2022 sovereign for a new monarch, with a copy (GE series) of a historic design. 
If we all had an original Una, Three Graces, or gothic crown we would most likely be pleased with the return.  I think the same can be said for the sov, this one is destined for significance, maybe just not next week or even next year- it will age like fine wine.  Just my opinion……..

I'm going to keep the Memorial sovereigns I have bought.. the reason is two things 

1.. It's the first sovereign with a new monarch on it in 70 years and this design is absolutely stunning..

2 They will all go with the 2022 Platinum Jubilee sets and sovereigns and make a nice pair ...I'm sure these sets will only  increase in value...So I'm not really worried if people dont buy them or cancel their orders..

I do hope that Royal Mint stick to their word and you cannot purchase anymore after 31st December..But not holding my breath lol

I've only ordered the Brilliant Uncirculated Five Sovereign Piece, but I am definitely not cancelling mine.  I think it will be a beautiful coin to hold for the long term.

@stuntman I would imagine that large format 5 sov piece will be stunning.  I have purchased some of the more intricate designs over the years in a five ounce size to be better able to appreciate the engraving work - especially now that I’m getting older and need a little help

The net totals aren't moving very much because any new sales are being balance out by the wave of cancellations at the moment.  I don't think most, if any, of these coins will sell out by 31 December.

I went on the mints site today and was shocked to see these 2022 commemorative sovereigns still available. 
 

Pretty much all but the sets are still for order.

I wasn't expecting to see anything still available to order.
