Today I bought this 1922 Liberty dollar from an antique shop for a reasonable price. It passes the magnet and weight test although it's worn in places. I do worry about picking up a dud but he gave me a receipt for it.

Nothing wrong with going vanilla.  Sometimes having too many choices can throw you off from your stacking goals.

So I am on my first vacation day traveling, making a stop at Frankfurt. I know Frankfurt well, as I worked there for a couple of years. It is also the place where I first started to invest in precious metals, buying my first 1/10 ounce Philharmonic at Pro Aurum in Bad Homburg. I emancipated, getting more knowledgeable and bolder.

One of the better places to buy and sell loose gold coins over the counter is a chain of pawn shops called Exchange AG - they have fair premiums and a fairly low spread. They are scattered throughout Germany. So I went just outside Frankfurt central railway station, to get Covid tested and to look for some goodies...

After killing my budget on buying a bigger shoe box I’ve been reduced to wandering in and out of charity shops today for my shopping buzz.... picked up this little neat box for £3! Unfortunately it came empty but looks ok with a bit of bling inside it!
