Want to show this amazing rarity: the George IV 1829 half sovereign mule with 1823 reverse. Ex Terner collection, PCGS PR64CAM. Only 2 are known and the other one is impounded in the Royal Mint collection. The Royal Mint actually struck 4,205 half sovereigns during 1829, but all with 1828 dies.

With my first day off since the lockdown, it's time to tour my favourite antique centres looking for silver under spot, that the dealers haven't got round to changing the prices to reflect the recent up in price.

So far, three sterling silver sugar tongs, total 139g for £59. So thats about 20% under spot.

Onto the next centre......

And now for something completely different... Figured some additional luck won't hurt, so bought this 1853 sixpence. 🍀 😅

For those of you who have been around long enough, you would have heard me banging on about the ease of buying silver at under or around spot. Whether its searching your local antique or charity shops, or even perusing that evil entity Ebay, The last 36 hours have been no exception,

I have purchased 1,110g (33.01 ozt) of hallmarked sterling silver for a grand total of £568.10, which at current prices is worth  £705.90 so its around 20% under spot.

HOWEVER....... I cashed in my money sitting in my TopCashback account, which was £62.24, and a £20 ebay nectar voucher that hadn't been used yet, so the price actually dropped to £485.86, meaning I got that silver for 31% UNDER spot.

Ok, this is an exceptional day, but whenever I have been in the mood to snap up bargains on Ebay, I've always found something within a day or two.

Hey, buddy! I hadn’t yet. I found it for $99, but not sure I want to drop that much for one. What are your thoughts? Worth a punt picking one up?

Well, I remember you also bought the one with the snowman. These are selling for about $200 and higher at the moment.

I like it as a gimmick, and I think these will be highly collectible in the future. 👌
