No laughs over here mate. Good job! PM purists would have you believe there is only one viable asset class, but we all know diversity is key to investment success long term. I've been buying crypto for over three years now, only a really small amount per month but its grown into a decent little extra for me. I only ever put what I dont care to lose in, so I dont feel sick when the prices crashes, which is something you have to get used to with crypto. Good luck!

What's the charge to sell those right now, I'd heard 20% wasn't unusual.

Not sure I follow. Do you mean the fee that exchanges charge? Coinbase has flat fees per price band, equates to about 4% I think. 20%? No chance.

I have not bought any, tempted to mine as lecce in florida is ultra cheap and I have an idle computer with a 1080ti doing nothing...but I had watched yt videos where they'd mentioned the exchange commision was as high as 20% killing off any medium raises in value.

Hi @KevinG out of curiosity are you able to confirm the general content of the kilo bag of junk silver? I have been toying with the idea and curious about the content! Cheers.

In total you get 900 gram of fine silver. Although the weight of the coins is 1 kilo there is 100 gram of copper included in the description. It would be better if they offered 1 kilo fine.

Picked this up from the folks at Auction World Japan.  A well-graded RD example of a fairly recent (well, if 100+ yrs old is recent) issue.  I didn't have this year so a nice addition to the Farthing collection at a great price even with the BP and shipping from Japan.  I'd rather not have the smudge to the left of the king's nose but it's not a scratch so I can live with it until a better example comes up for sale/auction.

I got these robins medals that are replicas of the original medals giving to the Apollo 11 astronauts, their families and the crew. The one in the box is 1oz of silver with some space  flown material graded MS70 by NGC and CAG and the one next to the silver one is a copper medal graded Gem UNC. I like the copper one a lot more because of the shine when it hits the light.

Ok, now let’s talk about the real medals. Neil Armstrong’s gold medal was sold at an auction for two million dollars graded by NGC and CAG as MS 67. That medal should be graded MS 70 because it was owned by Armstrong and of course it was taken with him to space. It’s not like it was going to sit in his house.

@Numistacker This is for you.

I would not have expected anything rare, but I def would have expected less dimes. I guess it is about weight, so fair enough! If there were more halfs I would be getting a kilo bag - but not on the basis of this.

Brits: All Franklin halves are not rare, you can complete the series for less than two grand in BU grade. Even the proof are a good deal. Just check to make sure if you have a type one and type two proof for one date, I think the type two is the big ticket item. Walking liberty halves are great but cost a lot in high grades especially for back dated ones such as the 1916. Once you get into the 1940s, the walkers, as we Americans call them, go for about $30-$40 each in AU to BU. I own a few walkers that my dad gave to me that his dad had.

He couldn't have taken it with him to space because it has the date he returned?

I bougt 1 silver eagle, 1 mapleleaf, 1 britania, 1 oz bitcoin round, 1 Apmex 1 oz bar and a 5 gram credit suise gold bar. For a total cost of 343$ (275£). I paid 250$ for the gold, and 93$ for 5 oz of silver. 1 oz = 18.6$ (15,20£). 1 gram of gold 50$ (40,20£)

I have around 2200£ right now but half of that in stocks. So around 1100£. What should i buy and how much?

the times were you mined BTC with your private PC are gone. I would not bother. There are other coins to mine though but you have tough competition. The 20% might come if you join a mining pool but I am not sure. Selling and buying BTC does not have those high fees

I know the airliners and developers have cornered the market, spending 10k on an airliners to be lucky to make 11k back isnt worth it
