hi everyone, i am steve from liverpool.i have just got into silver stacking and trying to learn as much as poss. my current holding is 5x 1 gram silver pieces, 2 x 100 gram silver bars, 2 x somali 2016 elephant silver coins and 1x 2016 britannia silver coin. so hello to everyone and look forward to learning from you guys and geting involved with you.

i am getting 100 grams of 999 silver bars for £44 plus £2.99 delivery is this a good price? i can't find anywhere cheaper (but i am new!) and my somalian elephant 1oz coin are £16.50 delivered each again am i getting a decent price or could i get a point in better direction? cheers everyone for the welcomes

for silver coins silvertogo is one of the best price around as it's vat free, you really have to buy 5 coins or more at once though to make it viable IMO as the postage is £10 .

 

at STG the elephants are £13.37 each at the mo

As said above, if you can hold fire and buy a minimum 5 oz at a time you will save a lot of money on postage etc. And yes, using German sites who only charge VAT of 7%(?) on coins, unlike 20% in the UK will save you a fair bit as well. That is why so many of us stack coins instead of bars.

thanks for the advice so in reality i could buy coins from £14.30 each taking delivery into account. saving £2.20 per coin is a great % saving.
