The last two Brexit SOTD sovereigns to sell on eBay went for £825 and £800. There is another on there currently for £699 with CoA and box. On here, they have sold for £600, £650 and £665 recently. A search for Brexit SOTD will confirm these figures. It's always useful to look at what over identical examples have sold for when seling.

I bought an SOTD sovereign with much lower mintage (less than one third) for £500 only last week.

It also doesn't help that you have no trading feedback on here. Very few will hand over that sum to a total unknown. Some will act as an intermediary for new members to sell their first items in order to get some feedback (it's sll about trust) Buying a few helps as well as at least it gets you trading feedback to start you off.

Mintage doesn't predict the price. The lowest mintage modern proof is 2014, yet there are years with double or triple its mintage, that is worth twice as much, like 1989.

The Brexit sovereign will always fetch a higher price than the 2018 SOTD, which is not a matt finish and generally less known among collectors.

The Brexit sovereign cost £800 from the Royal Mint, which is the most expensive yet from the Mint, so I can't fault anyone for wanting the list price at least. But it's probably a good idea to get the coin graded. They generally grade well, and a 70 will definitely enhance one's chances to get a better price. People are wary of buying ungraded expensive sovereigns. I know I am.

I sent my first coins off to be graded last week through Coins of the Realm. It is a lot easier than first appears. Simply download the form from this thread

And follow the instructions.
