This is really a perfect shot of a beautiful coin, respect !

My girlfriend does photography as a hobby, she has almost 10K followers on instagram but after seeing this photo, I think she can start with a new topic of making photo's.

This is really an inspiration !

Thank you so much for your kind words! Pictures are easy when the coin is so beautiful 😍

Here's an experiment with the redneck light box on a couple of 2022 Kookaburras.  These have a lot of frosting so reflections from the interior of the box aren't going to cause so much grief. For some reason there's a bit of flare from the lens.  Not sure whether that's just because it's a mobile phone or something to do with the light.  I've ordered some black construction paper to make a lining that should kill off the reflections in the shiny bits.

The Sovereign is the quintessentially British coin.  It has a German queen on the front, an Italian waiter on the back, and half of them were made in Australia.

Wow, fantastic pictures!!!

I think the somewhat divisive  'one leg' 2018 is a bold design personally, and one of the bravest of the 'classic' format (such as that 2014) before the redesign (lovely coins but not in the same league for me).

I also believe the 2018 is a 'first' for two reasons (always happy to be corrected!). Firstly that the design of the Kook crosses the border. Secondly that one privy issue at least completely removes a KEY aspect of the design (the moon). From memory I think it was the year of the dog privy (?).  I am not sure as my coins have been in storage for years, but whatever it is it's notable imho :)
