Easier to shift too. It’s like £20 note versus a £50. Ones more commonly seen and sold. ;)

I recall once being on a train in Scotland when the guard came around asking of anyone had change for a one hundred pound note. 

Suffice to say the request was treated with some suspicion, although the Scottish banks did apparently issue them at them time.
