Custom made blister pack capsules.

Recommended Posts

I like to keep everything in my stack inside capsules to keep them safe and in good condition. I wanted some capsules for these blister packs so i looked online and i couldn't find any for sale. I noticed that 10oz bar capsules were a similar size so i tried to see if they would fit. The blister pack went in but it was slightly too wide so the capsules would not close together. So I decided to customise them to MAKE them fit and here is how they have turned out. I am very very happy with them! I used a drimmel tool to cut plastic away from the sides of the lid, then used a file to neaten it up, then sanded smooth with 1000 grit sand paper then finally polished with T-cut. If you cut just the right amount away and cut in the right place you can make it so that the blister pack is nice and central and doesn't rattle around or move at all. It took me quite a while to do but they actually look like a factory made item. The cool thing about them too is it really makes them look good together with all my other 10oz bars. I just thought I'd share the idea with you guys as i think they are awesome. These capsules were really scratched before i started too, another cool trick for you guys if you don't know already is you can make old scratched capsules look like new again with some 1000 grit or higher wet and dry paper, some t-cut and some elbow grease!
