For sake here is an utterly stunning Panama Pacific Exposition Octagonal 2 Oz silver coin commemorating the opening of the Panama Pacific canal in 1915. The original versions of these were struck in gold and had a face value of $50. People who attended the exposition could but they stunning commemoratives for twice face value - a hefty sum in 1915! Very few sold and most were ultimately melted down. Today, the original gold ones are a real scarcity, and an AU example fetches between $50,000 and $60,000! 🤠

Today, however, I am offering a beautiful and very appealing silver example for £69 including postage!

This coin is struck in 2 Oz of .999 fine silver and feels absolutely fantastic in hand! It sure is a meaty coin! Barely fits in the capsule! 😄
