Junk silver on eBay. Is this a good deal?

US Junk silver is supposed to be low premium. That’s not low premium. It’s a healthy amount above spot.

 

Also, that’s kind of a weird way to sell Junk silver. You usually go by multiples of face value, not claimed weight that is presumably based upon the weight at release from the mint, not current weight.

It's not as expensive as most charge. There is a lot of ads for ounces rather than Troy ounces. Also advertised weight of full amount rather than silver content and people still buy them. I wouldn't buy it because I enjoy spending hours looking for a good deal. For a but it now price with free delivery it seems ok if you can't be arsed with the hours of looking.

If I am looking at top price for a bid I like to go in at spot plus a percentage. Tends to work well for me as If I win it's usually under that figure.

I don't usually see US junk silver priced as a multiple of face value. I just see it priced at whatever price they're asking. Then it's up to me to determine how much above spot it is, and therefore whether it's a reasonable deal or not.

These days anything less than 20% premium is a good deal.
