8 Doubles - not feeling the love.

Looking at resale prices for 8 Doubles...and they don't look great, often not even on a par with the humble Maple.

Some could argue that it is not quite a Government issued coin, but more official in my eyes than some of the other coins from African States etc..

Not widely recognised admittedly, but a nice clean design, .999 (four 9's on the newer issues?), so what is not to like?

Discuss :)

Currently stacking 1/4 oz (22ct) and Sovs.

Milk spots, that's what not to like.

I had about 5, different dates, all spotted badly. Well, less of a spot, more like full on spillage!!!

Oh, and they are really boring looking coins too, in my opinion of course.

Stacker since 2013

I actually quite like these, not sure why really maybe it's because they just look quite clean.....well until as Danny says they milk up.

Maybe wrong but I think they were originally government issued coins as they had a face value of £2 until quite recently.

I think I am with you Garthy. A clean animal free uncluttered design is quite refreshing.

Milk spots, don't know about that, but we are talking bullion.

I only have a couple of 2012 & they are something different no milkspots either, if I were 1/2 interested in buying pure bullion coins(I'm not) I'd get a couple of tubes of these rather than Maples or Phillies.

The problem with common sense is, its not that common.
