New to platinum

i bought one of the 1oz plat coins offered by backyardbullion, it was a good deal in a long time.

the premiums suck (avg 30% over the past year or so), but as long as the all in costs are less than the gold price, platinum is a strong buy IMHO. 

These premiums should be recoverable - especially if it faces a demand squeeze, as what has happened with silver.

There are better deals than that, i was looking for one and saw those priced at 1100, in end found 1oz maple on another group for 950, since then plat spot has dropped a lot so premiums are higher.  But as a long term hold its fine
