Even in a 65 coin you can see the same hair. 

 

It's often referred to as the kiss curl (a tad more feminine term than sideburn) and yes you're absolutely right, it looks exceptionally sharp and unworn. Lovely coin, very beautiful in my eyes.

The '6' type I have seen before - here's my 1864. Guess the grade (PCGS)? 😉

This mirror brockage  1856 Sovereign is interesting as the bust is impressed into the blank so it has resulted in a sharp image without any high points that can ware , the hair curl shows up better on this error side than it does on the Obverse.

   ( not one of mine though 😅 )

Can anyone guess the PCGS  grade ?  here is a clue  MS??
