I have a collection of 8 gold sovereigns I would like to sell. 5 x full sovereigns and 3 x half sovereigns.

The sovereigns are all in excellent condition and are uncirculated.

5 x full sovereigns:

·        1891 (London Mint) £320 SOLD

·        1900 (Sydney Mint) £320 SOLD

·        1957 (London Mint) £425 SOLD

·        2004 (London Mint) £350 SOLD

·        2000 Gold Proof Sovereign in presentation case and box £430

3 x half sovereigns

·        1898 (London Mint) £150 SOLD

·        1908 (Sydney Mint) £150 SOLD

·        1912 (London Mint) £225  SOLD

I've had offers from dealers (at standard bullion value) but was hoping to achieve a better price given their age and excellent condition. I understand dealers need to make money but some of the premiums seem pretty hefty (over £200 for the 2000 Gold Proof Sovereign for example).

I wondered if anyone would be interested in a private sale for the coins, cutting out the middle man, and achieving a mutually beneficial sale?

Happy to receive reasonable offers.

Regards,

Mat

I have moved this to the respective trade section. However as per the forum rules, you would be required to indicate the selling price from your end. Thank you and good luck with your sale!
