Opinion / experience on a bullion dealer requested

Hi everyone,

I usually get gold coins from Bullion by post. I know their premiums are on a higher end but for single purchases I'm not too bothered since it includes free shipping and they are very diligent in my experience. Due to Brexit though, they haven't been able to deliver in Ireland for a while.

I was looking around the forum and found https://europabullion.com/ . Can anyone tell me their experience with them? If there's some positive feedback around this I may place an order there instead.

I can't speak for dealings but I know Stephen from Europa Bullion is active on the site and has platinum offers available. Certainly legitimate though if you were worried about that.  Hope this helps somewhat... 🤷‍♂️

I ordered a 500 gram bar from them dealing with Stephen. Communication via email was professional and the package shipped from them to UK took less than 2 days. Product was as described, and very well packaged. Would use them again without a shadow of a doubt. Waiting for pay day soon, to purchase some more bars.

I keep an eye on https://www.thesilverforum.com/compare/ to look at the best prices. 

Dealers are well covered on the forum.  Dealers like Chards have been around for decades, have an excellent reputation and win awards.  When I looked at the link, Chards are as usual the cheapest for Sovs on the tracker.

There are others who do deals and have excellent customer service and prices.

Be interesting to know if there are problems shipping from EU to Ireland as much will go via UK.  Or would bullion likely go by air?

Hi @Martlet,

No issues at the moment. UPS Express (1 or 2 working days) is always by air but even with the more economic PostNL Signed For (9.90 EUR) option we’ve had no issues so far.

For example, all orders shipped to Ireland until 05/01/2021 are already delivered, so it takes max 7 working days at the moment. I would admit it used to be a day or two quicker before New Year.

UK is a transit destination so it has no effect on taxation. Ireland is a member of the EU and distance selling rules apply.

Looks like Europe bullion have some competitive prices. I see its only mostly shipping to Ireland talked about. What issues and extra costs would incure shipping to England.

Indeed. Personally, I used to use the EM and S2G, but with VAT and cross border delivery, I will just be focussing on gold.
