Identification and valuation of this Elizabeth I coin

Many thanks Liam - So for sure it's either a groat or a half groat?

They kinda look the same to me (as do the shillings, sixpences and threepence, which is why I asked here) - I'm not sure how I can distinguish them?

Apologies if I'm making a fundamental mistake :-)

Hi I think this is Spink 2578 or 2578a with bell mint mark(the bell being just above the crown) which would be sixth issue.

Looks like it has been struck slightly of centre meaning when the planchet was hit it wouldn't have been hit perfectly, which has left the design thick on one edge.

The good thing is that this has not been clipped off, which would devalue it ,meaning the bottom edge is still intact, alot of coins  with this much metal out side what should be

the rim edge would have the excess Silver removed or clipped the person then kept the Silver , the coin would then have been used as a normal coin.

2015 Spink has Fine as £60 very Fine £250,which would give you a ball park.
