I couldn't reply on the sponsors thread, but having looked at the website, I have noticed one glorious omission.

No point having a comparison site, if it doesn't include what is consistently the cheapest company in the UK by far, Hatton Garden Metals

Maybe HGM doesn't pay for affiliate links ;)

Also when looking for the "cheapest", it would be nice not to be told that Bairds have the cheapest sovereign for sale, only to go to their website and discover that you'd have to buy 200 sovs at a time to get that price.

Totally agree - if these things were ironed out it would be good, and for those new to investing in PM's it certainly points them in the right direction. But you are right HGM needs to be on there if they pay a referral fee for affiliate links or not.

Although not breaking any rules, I do not like websites that have in their headline " prices from " to then discover you have to be ordering for example 100 or more sovereigns to get the headline price. Also I dislike those dealers who do not include VAT in their quoted silver prices, only to see the full price later. This is common practice in retail & marketing but nevertheless it can be misleading to some. Kind of a commercial trap really with price the bait.

PS - So as to avoid any confusion my comment above does not relate to the website under discussion but to several other well known bullion dealer sites.

Hey guys,

Thanks for your feedback.
I have already initiated contact with Hatton Garden Metals and see that we can get them listed on the website.
As you can see we are listing a wide range of dealers and products. Hence errors or missing products and dealers can happen :)
As soon as you see something, just send me a PM, post it here or contact us via mail and we will instantly get on to fix it.

@Pete ...do you see any prices on http://www.gold-price.co.uk quoted without VAT in Silver, Platinum or Palladium?
We will get right on to correct that :)

Best,
The Gold-Price.co.uk Team

Might be an idea to have a list of the cheapest coins/bars in each section?

Like, I see in the Silver coins section, I can pick any coin I want and find the cheapest place for that coin, would you be able to have a section or list showing the top 10 cheapest coins.

So for any stackers they can find the cheapest per Oz around.

Just an idea

@SoulUK...Thanks for your feedback!
We have an own function dedicated to that purpose:

http://www.gold-price.co.uk/gold-price_best-value/

If you would like to compare Silver Coin Prices, just choose "Precious Metal: Silver" and "Category: Coins".
You will instantly see the cheapest ones around ;)

Except that shows Koalas at BBP @ £10.68 and you have to buy 50+ to get that rate. Hardly a fair comparison.

Hey evende,
Thank you for your feedback. We have just updated our site. It now shows the 1+ prices (and not the 50+) prices for BBP.
Check it out on http://www.gold-price.co.uk

Am I missing something with HGM?

I've visited there site 5 times over the last couple of months and have never seen a single coin in stock

Check it out, they have nothing listed on there site(no coins anyway)

Sorry for the hijack

They didn't keep any stock over the holiday period, so that's almost 2 weeks gone.

Other than that, with spot prices so low, not as many people have been selling and with so many buyers, gold has been literally flying out of the door, with sovereigns especially selling in minutes.

You have to learn to check several times a day (Mon-Fri 1030, nothing before 1000 usually) and update the stock button. Saw a coupe of Brits on Friday, thought twice about it.......too late, gone :)

Currently stacking 1/4 oz (22ct) and Sovs.
