What will the price of Gold be (£/GBP) on 1st Jan 2022

About £2400 after a high of ca. £2700.

I think what all previous answers miss, is the effects of the lockdowns, instead most seem to project the present into the future in a linear way. What has piled up in the economy, will break out and likely so in 2021. As a matter of fact, if this happens, my prediction is still very conservative. Yet, there is no guarantee and piling up could continue for yet another year. In that case I'd say 5% above it's all time high.

I think we'll be mining asteroids or the moon, within 20-30 years. Whilst it'll make no difference to my finances, it might be something that those in their 20's and 30's should keep in the back of their mind.

China are already mining on the moon, but round the back so nobody can see!.......

I bet they never thought that diamonds would be synthesised. must have scared the bejesus out of debeers!!

I have done a whole thread on space mining,

I personally think they have been or at least are about to do just that!
Or at the very least its about 20 years away given that technology is going to rocket soon (pardon the pun).

I am not sure there is a lot to mine on the moon as its probbaly a hollowed out planetoid LOL. 😛

Diamonds are a completely bent market.

It always has been, try selling a wedding ring back to a diamond dealer and you find the spread is eye watering.

I suspect you lose more money buying a wedding ring than you do buying a brand new car.

Although gold is not perfect as a commodity it's a much better way to store your wealth.

As to the risks of large deposits coming onto the market, it's still possible for a mining company to strike it lucky and find a huge deposit.

Although mining asteroids sounds great, I'm not sure they'll be looking specifically for gold, maybe something nuclear related and lighter to transport back to earth.

Totally. thats the problem they will find somehting miles more expensive/useful (like a unique radioactive mineral) & gold will be the iron ore type by product. Scarily a lot like Avatar. Silver & copper will just be left there probably.

Anyhow, I am convinced that Mars is the scape goat, for a planet already being used (ie Venus) in some way. Globalist slight of hand, but thats very subjective and based on not much. ;)

Bit off topic here sorry - carry on with the predictions.

Gold £2,700 / oz
Silver £34 / oz
Platinum: £1,300 / oz
Copper £7-8 / oz
Bitcoin £0.00 banned/security issues/superseded by governmental currency. ;)

How I got to that? I guessed. 😛

I'd love Copper to get to that point. 😍

You missed out Aluminium though.
