Hello all,

First, thanks if you've stopped by to check out this post.

After a long process and learning period I'm finally ready to sell some of my poured silver creations. You can check out some of the journey on my YouTube channel "Stacker 2020"

I've made 10 x 100g poured 999 silver bars for my first run. Numbers 1 to 7 and 9 have already been sold. Below are the remaining numbers 8 and 10.

All come with a COA. I'm asking a very reasonable £85/€95 per bar delivered to EU and UK.

Due to the most recent round of lockdowns post delivery times are being effected. So I'd put a 2 week estimate to the UK. 1 week to mainland Europe.

Thanks 😊

If I can be totally honest , to me they don't look to neat. The pour looks rushed , ripples have over spilled and the edges aren't the straightest. Totally my own opinion I don't want to cause offence. I do actually like them however for me I feel there overpriced given the description. Onwards and upwards as they say. Good luck with the sales 👍

Thank you for the feedback. Honestly it's much appreciated. Back to the drawing board then 🙂

I think your price(which includes postage) is reasonable, the thing that puts me off is the fact they arent hallmarked. I dont buy poured silver, unless its hallmarked, just because I feel when I come to sell in the future,it will be a lot easier to sell a hallmarked bar, rather than one from what maybe to the buyer,an unknown source.

I agree, they are well priced. I don't there is anything wrong with the bars but you're dealing with a tough crowd @Stacker2020😁

We are used to seeing the maker's name, the purity and the weight on our bars and since BYB has been hallmarking them, that too.

Other manufacturers seem to find success without hallmarking however so don't let that stop you.

I'm impressed with your work, I can't pour anything more creative than a good Gin and Tonic so keep going bud 👍

Thank you for the feedback. I have looked into hallmarking in Hungary. Unfortunately it's  much more complex over here then in the UK. I will need to attend a jewellery making course, obtain a licence and then be able to hallmark.

I will do it next year as I find it a great hobby and it seems like I'll be in Hungary for the next few years as a minimum.

Honestly though I don't think my pictures do the bars justice. As a collector of poured silver I would be happy to own one of them, but as you say Roy "It's a tough crowd". I'll have to up my game 🙂

Morning buddy.

For me I have a few hand poured guys I buy off and tend to stick with. Personally I buy hand poured for my self so hallmarking isent an issue  for me. The couple pieces I have moved on with no hallmarking and no issues as there reputable well known pourers. I think the prIce is good and the number 6 bar is stunning. Just have other purchases in mind at the moment.

I do agree with above comment that some of the other bars maybe dont look as on point as other products out there so when left with a choice between some of those bars and other options on the market.....

And finally this time of year all sales are slowing down.

Look forward to seeing future work as I'm a massive supporter of hand poured artists from both UK and abroad.

Best of luck and have a great xmas my friend

Personally it's timing for me, I'm all "silvered out" for this month. And with it being close to Christmas, that affects it too. I've had my eye on number 6 like the others, that bar is lovely.

Don't be off put with the lack of purchases. Love to see what you do with future bars.

It's all great feedback, seriously, and thank you all for taking the time to comment. As suggested, here's a few more pics of bar #5 showing all the stamping (all bars stamped similarly). I only have my phone for photos, so I'm a bit limited by the quality of the photos.

I like them you can tell they are hand made and thats what I personally like ,if they are still around after the Christmas break I'll be looking to buy one from you but right now its a bit close and running my own small business its just the worse time of year for me keep persevering you can only get better through practice pal good luck with the sale but not too much because I want one come January

From me, (and I'm no expert), I think you definitely should have led with the second picture. The top down one doesn't do it justice. If I were able to I would buy one mate, I like that ripple effect and it's always nice to help someone out in their early days. Maybe ask BYB for some pointers? He is a good guy and could probably help you out. It's just a tough time of year with it being Christmas and I think that's your biggest enemy.

Maybe you could advertise each bar on an xrf machine with the certificate and serial stamp clearly visible? It would blow away any lingering doubts there may be.

  • Stacker2020 changed the title to LAST 3!!! S20 Bullion 100g Silver Poured Bars Just £85 delivered!

Re-pours of 8,9&10 now finished and pictures above in the original post. I think they are much more in keeping with the style of the original 7, so round off the first series of 10 nicely.

Thank you all so much that have commented in this thread. It's really fired me up to continue and improve.
