2017 Half sovereign error or damage?

Heliopolis

Recommended Posts

Hello,

This coin was purchased directly from the RM in 2017 ,But was not checked upon arrival. ( Back then , I  still have no idea about grading and the possibility that a coin could arrive with damage ).

I checked it recently ,I noticed that there is many marks that maybe causes by a filled die? specially a detail is missing on the horse nose
But on the right side there is also many line marks too.
What do you think about the spots and lines are they errors or damage ?
If errors can it get error domination from major grading company ?

Check the pic below , the circled location details is missing ,a part of the horse bridle . See a normal 2017 proof sovereign for comparison you could easily see what I mean.

Ah yes, I see what you mean.

Won't be a die engraving error, therefore will be caused during striking or simply a damaged die.

It's quite appalling that the mint sent out this coin.
