5oz gold nugget help with valuation!

So been asked to sell this on behalf a customer. 5oz weight with full provenance. 
 

First instinct was to cut it up and mount the parts, but it’s too beautiful 🤩 

Any thoughts on what retail it should be listed at?

That's a beautiful big gold nugget. Congratulations ! I have no idea what it's worthing, but I would let it as it is as it's a unique piece.

Probably hit it with the XRF from a few angles and find out what % is actually gold, there looks to be a fair bit of quartz in there.

I think it’s worth doing a specific gravity test and then with this info it would be possible to estimate a price. 
 

From what I have seen, demand is different for Nuggets based on where it came from and the shape. 
 

Your example is relatively desirable.l from a shape perspective. My guess is 20pct above the raw price of the gold if sold privately.

I would agree with @dicker 20% premium on larger Nuggets seems to be about the going rate, though that does seem to fluctuate with origin .Australian gold being the highest purity and most desirable from the collecters point of view.
