I was trying to find out if there is an online mint that consistently delivers the lowest price over spot on silver that is trusted.

Sure, you're in the US which helps tremendously.

The lowest priced online dealers in the US are SD Bullion and Silver.com. Which one wins on a specific product will vary, and might depend on the day. They're always pretty close to each other.

The biggest difference will be their shipping charges. All dealers offer free shipping over some minimum order threshold. Last I checked, SD Bullion offered free shipping on orders over $99, and charged $7.77 for shipping on orders under $99.

With Silver.com you don't get free shipping until you hit $3,000 order amount. On any order under $3,000 they charge $7.99 for shipping.

Not surprisingly, Silver.com usually has slightly lower prices than SD Bullion, but the hitch will be their shipping charge. If your order is under $3,000, but over $99, SD Bullion will often win on total price (but not always). For example, at this moment Silver.com's price on 2020 Silver Eagles is $28.06, while SD Bullion's is $28.09. By comparison, APMEX is charging $29.84. Big difference.

Sometimes BGASC will be in the mix as far as lowest price. Also, Gainesville Coins, BOLD Precious Metals, Bullion Exchanges, and SilverGoldBull can be competitive and might carry some niche products that other dealers don't have.

APMEX tends to be the most expensive of the major dealers, so I don't understand why people buy from them. They do tend to carry a more comprehensive inventory than other dealers, so sometimes they can be the only option for a particular product.

JM Bullion is sort of a middle ground between the lowest priced dealers and APMEX. They're always lower priced than APMEX and carry a broader inventory than Silver.com (which they own) and SD Bullion.

American online dealers will have the lowest prices of any dealers worldwide, including local shops. They have the largest volume, and there's no VAT or GST.

I like to check here recognizing it is not particularly comprehensive and it generally lists the best volume pricing as the price, shipping is another variable, most have a lower threshold, BGASC always charges a little shipping:

But sometimes you can be surprised, like APMEX sales or when normally expensive Silver/Gold Bullion leads the pack on generics or small bars.
