Help with silver hall mark

Recommended Posts

I found this amongst my late fathers possesions, I don't recognise the couple certainly not grandfather and trying to find approximate year.  The makers mark is James Deakin & sons.  I thought that thr "R" might be the year but given the font it could be 1813 or 1859 from Sheffield mint.  However I read that the company was formed in 1866.  I have not been able to find anything resembling the middle mark.  Can anyone help me please?
