I am a newbie looking for advice and help in a field of online buying collectible coins , I can say it's the game.  

I ordered from Atkinsonbullion.com one proof full sovereign and one 2021 UK Britannia  1oz gold coins just  before last gold price drop :-(.  . This morning I received a package, no signature required from the postman, it felt like a one small item inside the package so I was sure that it was my expected crystal. When opened I found only a proof full sovereign in the envelope and the invoice for both coins. No Britannia coin. I sent them  emails and phoned them, no response so far.

I would appreciate your advice and help very much.

I am sorry this has happened to you!

Unfortunately I haven't had any experience with this bullion dealer so I wouldn't be able to give you advice on how to proceed with them. I also recently moved here so I am not up-to-par with UK sales and customer rights laws.

However, the best insurance you can have yourself when opening packages of valuable goods (or any product really), is to record the whole process live, with no cuts or edits ideally. Ask someone who lives with you to hold the camera or place it somewhere, no need to show your face. Record the entire opening, show everything in the package including serial numbers (if applicable) and condition of the items. Show the invoice and packing slips, cover the entire package. This includes showing the package hasn't been opened or tampered with BEFORE opening the package.

That is the ultimate insurance and proof, and it makes it so the company can't blame you for tampering with the package before recording the video.

I've also got good news that the dealer admitted to human error and confirmed the missing coin would be dispatched.
