A stunning 5KG Umicore Silver bar for sale (serial number 501592) - Sold - collecting today 25th Oct

I purchased this back in December 2018 from Bullion by Post and have listed the invoice as an image. I haven't blocked out what I paid as this is not fair to do so. I have blocked out my address and name just for security. The image of the bar is the actual bar. The serial number is 501592 and would make a great addition to your existing collection.

I would prefer to sell this bar to someone local (in the midlands) so that they can collect from my home as I'm not comfortable posting. I would prefer a bank transfer when you collect as I believe that this is the safest option.  Bullion By Post are selling these for £4k at the moment but I understand their spread is a little high. Happy to take less than this but no crazy offers as I do know what it is worth.

Happy to answer any questions you may have.

Sorry - Asking price is £3300

Thanks for looking

@BackyardBullion one for the melting pot @ £20.62 per oz

I was/am very tempted - but I cannot fathom how I would chop it up small enough to fit in my furnace.

I can just about manage to chop up a 1kg bar with some very heavy duty bolt cutters, but this is too big!

You could always clamp it and use your hand torch to melt over a metal bin/bucket of iced water  to make your own shot 👍

With a tiny butane kitchen torch this ain't going to work!

Need a proper oxyacetylene torch to do that

What's stopping you from getting one it's not like this would be the one and only you'd need it lol

Again, Mrs BYB would not be keen on a oxyacetylene torch firing away in the kitchen!

When I have my own workshop and forge, yes 😊

I’ve been breaking down one like this with a hacksaw. It takes some time but it can be done
