Are these Silver?

As the title suggests, and I'm sure the more experienced or even the less experienced will know straight away and I'm just being thick but I was given these years ago and they have lay in a drawer ever since. It's only recently when I've started to get interested in precious metal that I wondered about them. 

Silver or not I still think they are pretty cool coins.

i believe they were available in silver ( the silver jubilee coin) 

but it is in proof finish. yours looks like the cupro nickle version

not much value i am afraid

Back in the day, the 1977 Jubliee crown were available from high street Banks for 25 pence.

I kept mine but it has little value.

I also have a proof sterling silver version. 

They generally sell for a little over the spot price of silver.

Have 2 of these. The other doesn't have the plastic case for whatever reason.

Yes this is a cupro nickle version, they do a 925 sterling proof coin that has been said can be had fairly cheap. Its a nice design for sure but since so many were made very common.

Its easy to tell the difference visually between the silver proof and the cupro nickle ones. I have a large number of them sitting in my stack box.
