I think it was the 100kg $4.3 Canadian Gold Maple that was stolen and chopped up for scrap 😨 thieves used a skateboard , ladder and a wheel barrow.

I saw it in person at the Perth mint.  Proof quality it certainly isn’t!

Every night at the PM it is lowered from its plinth into a vault.  Not that many people could carry it out...

My dad sent me a photo of this when he visited the perth mint last year...I sent him to pick me up some gold coins....somehow I think that would exceed his baggage allowance 🤣
