I actually like it. Definitely not the worse and it fits in with the series. Could've most definitely been worse, we could've got the Turks and Caicos version of Scooby Doo the Greyhound from 1978 😜

I am very happy to share with you all the first (as far as I am aware) in hand photos of the Queens Beasts White Greyhound of Richmond!

The Royal Mint sent me a 1 oz gold and 2 oz silver to review and publish on today's release day (sadly not to keep, I have to send both coins back!)

They are better in person, let me tell you!

Video going live later today on the coins so you can make your own minds up!

Yeah, the proof versions were released today as well as the bullion versions. I have sprung for my 1/4 oz for my collection and begrudgingly for the silvers - I am a slave to the series now it seems!

@BackyardBullion surely the Royal Mint should let you have the 2 oz Silver coin for free as they are using your platform to advertise and sell you the Gold coin for spot as kind gesture :). Thank you for the video I was on the fence recently about completing my collection of Gold QB coins and I am glad I am doing so after watching your YouTube video. It has been an amazing series and I do like the design of the Greyhound of Richmond.

@Abyss Personally I think it actually speaks more of the Royal Mints integrity to not let me keep this coin. Paid for reviews are morally grey at the best of times and the amount of additional kudos that I get for having these coins sent to me for release day is quite good for me. 2 oz of silver is not going to make or break my business.

I agree that they are getting advertising out of my video - but I am happy to showcase an honest opinion on a coin series I love.

If I was watching a coin review video I would rather know that the reviewer has not been paid for it.

Now, on a separate point if the Royal Mint wanted to sponsor a future video/channel just for mentions and general advertising that would be much more appropriate.

Each to their own 🙂 Maybe I am selling myself short, but I am happy enough to be able to make exclusive content on YouTube which is rewarding in its own right.

I actually went for the 1/4 oz proof as well...a little behind on the others though

Lovely design and a very low mintage on the 1/4oz gold proof maximum 1010 . Still not sure how the proof 1/4oz are going to perform long term as they seem to be quite difficult to resell for anything over £550 . The bullion versions seem to be very popular.
