Hi there 👋.

1. How do you keep your silver coins? In plastic bag with zip-lock, in plastic capsules, in the tubes?

2. Where and how do you store them? I read that plastic (PVC) is not a good friend of silver. Also, that some blankets with carbon and other components would be a good solution to wrap your tubes, capsules, etc. in.

3. How do you clean your silver? (I received some "new" kangaroos with some spots :( )

Cheeeers!

I'm new to stacking but I keep bullion in mint tubes, premiums in capsules and i keep these inside a pelicase type box with a couple of anti tarnish strips.

As I said I'm new to stacking so hopefully this will keep my silver in good condition

A few of mine are in capsules and some are in tubes but the majority are just wrapped In zip tight bags and then in plastic money bags. They’ve been there for a few years now with no issues. The only silver I have that has milk spots on are just the usual Canadian suspects. Not all the Canadian ones have them.

Any particular brand or type of anti-tarnish strips that are preferred by members? New to coins but not to precious metals and I’m curious.

For tubes I put a layer of foam or bubble wrap on top of the coins and then a small silica pack on top then seal with the lid. I use aluminium cases with foam inserts and place larger silica packs inside, for storing all capsules and other packaging type coins and bars.

Currency coins like dimes and quarters are kept in plastic tubes (instead of paper bank rolls), and premium stuff like Libertads are kept in individual capsules then put inside larger tubes.

All are kept in watertight ammo boxes with silica packs.
