Spreadsheets, excel and keeping track of PM’s

I thought it was about time I kept track of my PM’s a little better than I currently do.

I’m familiar with excel as I use it daily with my job but I’m wondering how others do it and if, it must be possible, but if it’s possible to keep track if you enter the gold price in a cell and it will calculate the current value.

Maybe I’m expecting too much from a spreadsheet but afterall that’s what they are for.

Any help would be appreciated.

Yes you can add the spot price to a cell and it will calculate. You can also add a % increase of your choice. There are lot’s of online guides to make these formulas on the web. Have fun.

This post might be worth reading. I've attached my spreadsheet in it which you can download and interrogate, it has the cell calculation you're looking for. I'd suggest building your own spreadsheet to suit your needs and you could open mine to see how I've calculated current prices based on entering spot on the front sheet.
