As Coin Cabinet / Andreas seems to have the thumbs up from most here on the forum, having a good few auctions under their belt and some very favorable transactions for both buyers as sellers alike.  Bargains and great prices achieved in equal measure.

Do you think it good we have a separate thread for each auction they run, as they all launch numbered ?

The current sale is No. 21

Anyone have any lots picked out ?

I would love to own this, but I fear it will get bid up on the day

That coin is a stunner - definitely understand the desire to own it.

I've registered to bid and had a quick browse but not a lot catching my eye this go around. Still I suspect I'll watch the auction and if something seems to be going for a good price then I'll place a bid or two.

Agree very much it'll be interesting to see how the 2oz Queen gold fares this go around. Will also be interesting to see how the PF69 silver Una fares.

thanks for the info guys, looking a little deeper into this coin, its not a low mintage coin far from it and eBay results don't show sales being massively bid up +% above spot   https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=Enthronement+of+Akihito&_sacat=0&LH_TitleDesc=0&rt=nc&LH_Complete=1

Only trouble it is a late lot 300+, save my cash waiting for this one, lose out and you ended up buying nowt !

is it as nice in the flesh as the photos show @h103efa ?

£1400-£1500 seems standard assumed price

Its a great coin @Paul, i had my eye on it for a while and finally bit the bullet. Love a phoenix me!

Take care with pricing, the £1500 ones you showed are the higher mintage bullion bunc versions. The one i have and is the lot at the auction is a proof. Less than 20 are graded PF70 on ngc! I paid quite a bit more than the starting bid!

There is a bit of everything for everyone in this auction.

Some SA proof currency starting at £1 through to modern graded coins.

The early Australian sovereigns doing well (lot 112) as well as a very nice Proof graded 2 1/2 dollar coronet which was 200 this am and is now 1k (lot 313)

Note: I don’t have anything for sale, just highlighting some interesting lots.

Best

I'm watching with interest. I think mine would get 69 if graded.

I must say, they could have done with giving the case a wipe down before the photo! Hopefully the grade gives people some confidence.

Got my eye on a few shield backs. Picked up a fairly nice 1842 last time!

The half sovereigns are doing incredibly well these days. Currently, respectively 310 and 350 for the 2015 4th and 5th portrait PR70DCAMS. Cracking prices. The 1980 is currently £290 which is interesting too.

For me, no major attractions this time. Lots of interest though, of course!!

Oh! And great idea to have a different topic per auction. Cheers @Paul!!
