Gold to silver trade

Recommended Posts

I really just use the most recent forum sales prices (and some external vendors) to figure this out.

Using your example of a 1oz Gold Panda - I can buy one today for £1570 delivered from Bairds, so this is the absolute max value I would consider, unless it's a specific year etc. It may be that you purchased the Panda, when Gold was a lower price, so can use that as your guide.

So, how much silver can I get for £1570? Approx. 83 Kangaroos delivered from GS.be, works out at £18.92 / ounce - I'm not aware of any current listings on the forum below this price, but it would give you a starting position for a trade offer. Again, the silver trader may have purchased their bullion, when silver was at a lower price, so may be willing to accept a lower offer.
