Hi - just signed up and new to stacking and collecting gold and silver.

I have bought several coins, mix of Gold/Silver Brits and some foreign issues (silver), all 1oz

My long term goal is to build a long term holding of Gold 24ct 1oz coins (brits) varying years and numismatic value where appropriate (but with the emphasis on quantity/value) to diversify my investments. Additional to this I want to add an interesting collection of silver coins with a nautical/piratey theme. This is because we have an interest in sailing and yachting and would like to eventually arrange a treasure hunt for the kids and hopefully Grandkids!

So far I have acquired.

2018 Britannia 1oz Gold Std
2020 Britannia 1oz Gold Oriental Border
2020 Britannia 1oz Gold Std x2
2020 Silver Queens arms 1oz
1998 Silver Britannia 1oz (year we got married)
2003 Silver Britannia 1oz (First born child)
2005 Silver Britannia 1oz (Second born child)
2019 Silver Samoa Seahorse 1oz
2020 Silver Valiant 1oz
2019 Silver Tuvalu Black Flag Queen Annes Revenge 1oz
2020 Silver Tuvalu Black Flag Royal Fortune 1oz

Next on the list to pickup is a 1997 Silver 1oz Brit.

I have really tried to get into Sovereigns but they just do not appeal. Maybe its an old fashioned thing?

Welcome to TSF! Great start. Although NOT 9999 pure, I recommend you get the 1 troz Au 2003 & 2005 gold Britannia for your kids’ birth year. They both have excellent designs.
