If you’re a US resident, can you not use a free trading platform like Schwab or Fidelity?

Yes,  but they did not want to accept a foreign check. More convenient for me. All my accounts are listed with the IRS, using FUBAR,and my tax lawyers Compliance Report, which I offered to show them. I just thought it would be ok, but I have to send to my personal account. Then to US broker.
