The Banco de Mexico has officially released this information:

There will be no more gold BU coins being issued for 2015. Those with back-ordered coins can expect an immediate refund.

There will be no extra 1/4oz gold proof coins issued for 2015. The only 1/4oz gold coins will be those issued in the 5pc gold proof sets for 2015 (mintage of 500 sets). An immediate refund will be issued for those who ordered.

The 2015 silver Libertad Kilo Proof-Like (wooden case w/ CoA)(mintage 500) will be released on Monday, June 15th . We have a limited number in our allocation. Orders will be taken by email, on a first come, first served basis.

It looks like 2015 Bu gold especially fractional might be a key year.

Why have they done this?  Have they reached the limit of their mintage?

It seems to make no sense. But that's what makes them interesting ... Some years 2000 some years like 2003 just 300 of the gold bu. 2007 there were 500 bu 1/4s and 1500 proof 1/4s They just like to mix it up a little.
