Hey @J33per,

Thanks  -  Sorry, but I'm new at this. It's my first sale, and I want to get off to a good start.  Were you interested in a trade or outright buy?

Either way, I just need your address to send it to. IF you want to purchase it, can you do PayPal (friends and family)  - or I'll give you my mailing address if you want to send a check?

Just let me know what works best for you. I think shipping should be $4.00 or under, unless you want to insure it.

Thanks, Jack

Hey @Witcher,

Not sure about the pewter! LOL...  I used  to live on my boat, and grew up near the ocean - and I love all things pirate. Any 1oz coin over $23 bucks makes me flinch, but I bought a few of these coins with my heart, not my brain. Being on a fixed income and wanting to grow my stack, when I saw that these coins were going for $45+ on eBay, I decided to sell a few and buy Junk silver, etc.

This sale also brings the cost of the coin(s) of this series that I keep down to "normal". I may flip a few of the 2021 coins when they come out.

Best of luck,

Jack

I am not a huge fan of eBay either... right now if you don't have a store, selling any type of money or bullion will run you about 13-15% in fees which is insane.  That said, people don't seem to use their head on there sometimes.  I know if I listed my Black Flag on here and asked for $55 it would have either been ignored or people would have probably called me on gouging... which honestly it is... at least today.  If you really want to talk ridiculous... my MintDirect coin will likely go for over $90... maybe as high as $100 on eBay.  Its the same coin... same capsule... just in an Apmex vacuum sealed package.  The folks on this forum realize there is some collector value there but at the same time... its just an ounce of silver.  Personally... for $100... I would rather get 3-5 ounces of generic rounds rather than 1 collector piece, unless I knew that $100 collector piece could immediately or short term be flipped for a giant profit.  Thats me though.  I know we all get into gold, silver, coins for different reasons and I can respect that.

hmm...  I just posted something in the non-PM section.  You like all things pirate...   do you like Lord of the Rings?
I am selling a lot of my collection (many of it brand new), and I have Peter Jackson as Corsair among the items to sell/trade.
Here is a link to view it (not my specific, but it's the same thing). http://www.sideshowcollectors.com/forums/showthread.php?t=128808

Awesome - thanks for sharing. I just blew my budget at Apmex, but I'll keep it in mind.

Don't get me started on FeeBay.  Bad enough I mentioned them in my contest article.  That's one reason why I haven't sold anything in ages. I remember the days when I didn't have to give an arm to sell.  I haven't checked, but I think I still have the lowest price on a 24" Pewter Aragorn (Lord of the Rings) on FeeBay. I would not mind selling it for my cost, but if I sold it for that on there, I would lose quit a bit because of fees AND inflation.  I think people want free shipping, but at 40-45 pounds of metal... it's not going to happen.

I don't mind going up to $25 for a coin, but after that, it really bugs the stacker in me.  I don't even want to get 2020 ASE for $25.
Yeah, I probably could have done well if I picked up that pirate coin from APMEX.  Oh well.  Not the first time I passed on stuff.

My heart has been beating my brain on some purchasing. I'm old, and am a new stacker - so I have to be careful about trying too hard to catch up!  Thanks!  Yes, I'm careful on Feebay. LOL
