Sunshine Mining

Hello everyone! Just have a quick question on this 1984 Sunshine Mining 50oz silver bar. Attached a picture of it hopefully it shows up.

From what I gather Sunshine Mining AND Sunshine Minting are the same? But after purchasing it I thought I'd do research on it but cant find much except on Sunshine MINTING. long story short just looking to sell this and when I do, does this bar, being vintage hold a premium? Or just spot?

Thank you and any info is much appreciated.

Hi @Tangomachine

Firstly, I am not sure these are particularly rare.  I have seen these for sale in Nevada possibly and Utah on one of my trips.

I bought a bar marked “sunshine” and either 84 or 85 and it is cast not minted and has quite different markings (from memory it has markings of a pick rather than an eagle. I paid not *too* much above spot at a dealer in Utah

I am not sure if the mint and the mining company were the same or linked.

Yes just realised the poster is in the USA. Probably have more of a premium over here (uk) as theres less stuff like that available. And I think sunshine mining is now sunshine minting
