2020 Somalia 1/4 oz gold elephant production ?

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know if the 2020 gold Somalian elephant coin is or will be available in the 1/4 oz. size ?

The dealer with the series in stock lists no 1/4 oz. coins , but some dealers with no inventory lists the size as backordered.

I don't want to chase a non existent  coin :)

Thank you

Interesting question, I think it’s available in 1/10th and 1oz, I do not think there is a 1/4oz but I may be mistaken.

EDIT: They mint these in at lease these sizes: 1oz, 1/2, 1/4, 1/2oz, 1/25th, 1/50th, 1/2gram

I was mistaken. Looks like there is also a 1/4oz, not sure what year they started minting them.

These are in stock. They don' show the 1/4, which is why the original question.

I hate my collector mentality sometimes :)

Not sure why Apmex currently have stock of the other sizes and not the 1/4oz. Nice to see that they make this coin in other sizes including the 1oz, 1/2, 1/4, 1/2oz, 1/25th, 1/50th, 1/2gram they are really beautiful coins and a nice one to collect.

I have noticed that sometimes they, APMEX, have not made visible certain items if they are/have been sold out. But with the 2020 1/4 oz, I can’t imagine why they wouldn’t be displaying it as the 1/10 oz. Not sure if they ever had it in stock to begin with.
