closed Dutch Auction for Engelhard 1985 Prospector Rounds

Recommended Posts

I recently won an American silver eagle at spot price as a promotion on the site to stimulate interest in the trading board. This has motivated me to list a few items with the express purpose of trying to stimulate interest in trade in the section.  I may a list a few items in various forms in the near future to see what works the best at stimulating interest. To get started, I believe I will try a Dutch auction, or reverse auction, in which I will start the items at a high price and periodically reduce the price until the first person claims them or until they reach an undisclosed reserve price at which point I will pull them from auction if a bid has not been received.  There will be only one bid, the first bid, that will win the item. In this manner, I suspect that members of this forum may need to check back on this board periodically to monitor the items as the price drops to see if they are interested in purchasing.

For this Dutch auction, I have a tube (20) of 1985 Engelhard Silver Prospector Rounds.  The bidding will be for the entire tube of 20.   I will start the bidding at $30/each ($600 total) and lower it periodically until someone accepts the bid.  Buyer to pay bid plus $8 shipping.  PPFF or check preferred.

Good luck to all.
