What Time of the Day is Best to Buy?

I have noticed that prices tend to be lower in the morning on the EM website. It got me thinking is there a better and worse time to buy? For example, might prices be cheaper in the middle of the night, or is there a gradual rise to the middle of the day? Does anyone have experience with this?

Changes during a day doesn't really make a big difference on the overall price you pay unless you're making a big purchase. Currently the spot price is pretty good but the premiums (price over spot) has increased substantially. Finding a good deal is hard due to the high demand.

Yes that's why I was wondering if buying late at night could actually lead to a better deal (less demand). I may have a look and post back.

An interesting question. I don't have hard data, but I don't think this will be the case.

Spot price fluctuates and premiums fluctuate, but I don't recall seeing any link to time of day. Any fluctuation of that nature would probably be insignificant. Certainly I don't think dealers will have a system to deliberately increase premiums at different points in the day.

I noticed the other day that the price of silver dropped significantly first thing in the morning (in terms of movement through the day) so it’s worth keeping an eye on (if you can find any silver to buy at the moment)

Edit: that’s just one days observation and I meant to check if it is a regular occurrence  but forgot...

Good sample size there. 😜

Silver goes up and down, I wouldnt draw any conclusions based on you noticing it dropped some random morning.

It’s only a percent here n there and I dont think many dealers have stock at the moment and premiums are high so it’s more of something out of interest I was looking at.

The German dealer goldsilbershop.de made a video where they said, they have an extra premium of I think 0.5% during the non-office-hours during the week and the whole weekend in order to protect themselves against price fluctuations. That video must be from 2013 or so, so probably that's completely outdated information, now. I'm not aware any other dealer who (still) does this.
