I am a newbie to Sovereigns and with mint marks,Proofs only in certain years and fakes. there is a lot to learn,I was recommended some books on here but can't find them.So the purpose of this thread is books for education on Sovereigns.

Yep that's the one.I think the guy has got several boxes full of copies of these books, because they came in pristine unopened mint (dare I say it, proof) condition.

Couldn't find that version on Amazon but didn't want to link to Ebay listings as they won't be there long. This one seems to be ongoing though.

Very simple bullet points and descriptions of every sov including pictures. As a quick reference I have yet to find better. Other sites will provide more all round info, but I like the simplicity and ease of this one!
 

Also includes mintages for all mints including Australia where applicable, for all sovs.

The 1839 £5 is a fabulous coin and I would love one. I've never actually seen one but I have been told there are many fakes about, recent and perfect!

That's one ugly bust, I can think of other, nicer and more expensive coins I'd want to buy first.
