It’s a very very old symbol but most don’t know. Education is very important. At no point during my schools was I taught what happened in the World Wars. I probably learnt more from TV than school!

I thought one symbol went clockwise and the other went anti clockwise?

Apparently both directions is very old, it was just the Nazis who stole and corrupted one of them. Had they won the war, the old meanings would probably have been lost forever.
