Can I also please clarify are ALL the silver coins on the European Mint site VAT free?

Yes they are. The prices you see are the prices you pay. No extra tax to pay

You should look at the EU mint prices in Euros and when you come to pay them, use a currency conversion service.

I (and many others) use www.transferwise.com to send the cash to the EU mint.

Even if say, the coins are from Australia, USA, Japan ect? I just want to be absolutely clear - I don't want to get burnt.

Also, why does the site say 'as low as' below the actual price it is selling the product for? Slightly confusing 😁

Thank you. So how would I need to buy to get the lowest price?

You would need to buy in volume!

Also, is the number for the European Mint free from the UK? I have all calls free on my phone (UK numbers) but unsure if it would cover this one. Does anyone know please?

I believe it is a UK phone number - so yes it should be free but please dont quote me on that.

I see it now - I've clicked to deliver to my own address, but on the next page there's an option of "6 months free storage in Estonia". Thankyou very much.

Will you still be able to get it posted from the forum later?

Hello, I am very new to looking at investing in silver, I notice that this group order thread has been in place since February. I am currently researching into Silver before I purchase naturally, however I would appreciate some information as to the cut off date for the group order if possible as I do not want to miss the opportunity.

Thank you in advance for any help

Hi there,

New to the forum.. Can see with current affairs that my chosen bullion is not available from the European Mint.

Can I get involved on group buys being a new member?

Any idea of when they are likely to open the doors to new orders / availability?

As I'm new to this, I have not been on the EM website with full stock, am I able to order silver bars and do they sell britania coins?

Many thanks for any help in advance. Very keen to get stacking :)

Cheers guys

Jay

Yes, you can join as a new member.

They are taking orders now, but stocks are limited and at high premiums sadly.

They do have silver bars, but they tend to be more expensive than coins usually.

I've just been going through the sticky thread for an update, missed it previously I was halfway through the pages when I decided to ask sorry!

OK, thanks for your help! Yes, looking heavily into the best form of revenue protection, I cannot explain how eager I am to open a box and look at a silver sparkle wink back at me! The silver bug has properly taken a bite out of my arse haha!

Silver bricks I am aiming to store long term, and buy while we can get it tax free overseas, bars seem to be the best way to store weight. Was thinking 500g bars with the addition of sovereigns afterwards once the window for EU trade is gone. Wish we had the same market as the US!!

In your opinions, is my strategy effecient? Or would I better ordering as many sovereigns as I can instead?

P. S, your YouTube videos are very useful, watch many already :) thanks again!

I have another question sorry regarding the Royal Mint. At the bottom of the page there are the four metals with prices that change every day. Can I please clarify what this is - is it the spot price? Also, are you ever able to buy 'junk' silver or generic silver at the Royal Mint (particularly rounds which unlike bars I assume are VAT free?)

Those prices will be spot price trackers, they are just the raw metal price points.

Any silver regardless of it's coin status, bars rounds - anything - is VAT'able. No silver is VAT free in the UK from the Royal Mint or any business that is VAT registered.

Gold is VAT free.

Hi, is it still true that you can only order at the weekend? I've watched your video on the 5th January 2019 where you talk about this. 😀

UPDATE - 28th April 2020

So, the group orders have been ticking on very nicely over the last 4 weeks. People have been ordering and I want to say a big thank you to everyone for understanding the exceptional circumstances we find ourselves in and for being so patient.

Group order code expires 30th April

The update for today is that the group orders are getting quite complex with a lot of different orders and waiting times for coins. In order to try and make some progress in the next month we have decided to suspend the addition of new orders to the group order delivery after Thursday 30th April. The code will expire in the evening and then it becomes a waiting game for as many orders as we can to get delivered when we can.

I have no doubt that group orders will be back in the not to distant future - we might even open up a different code so that if you order we and you will know it is separate and will be on the waiting list for a subsequent delivery.

With regards timelines for existing orders - we are hopeful that we can get a delivery to us here in the BYB household in May. I am not certain this will happen, but it is looking likely.

Summary - Key Points

1) Group orders will CLOSE from Thursday 30th April 2020

2) Existing orders placed will hopefully be delivered in May 2020

3) We will be opening up a "new order" or new code in due course.

4) Thank you for your patience!

Do you recommend getting and using the transferwise debit mastercard or is this not necessary?
