Well i expect the coming decade will be the one where the fiat system comes apart. So prices in fiat won't be relevant at the end of the decade.

It could be a million dollars an ounce for Cheddar cheese. That's if the USD still exists.

Always cast your vote - Spoil your ballot slip. Put 'Spoilt Ballot - I do not consent.' These votes are counted. If you do not do this you are consenting to the tyranny. None of them are fit for purpose.
A tyranny relies on propaganda and force. Once the propaganda fails all that's left is force.

COVID-19 is a cover story for the collapsing economy. Green Energy isn't Green and it isn't Renewable.

If you look at the US debt clock the current dollar price of precious metal should be much higher than today
https://usdebtclock.org/

They compare the dollar to gold and dollar to silver ratios in 1913 and today. The number of counterfeit dollars created has been so outrageously massive when the ratio is applied we see the real value of paper 'money'.

1913:
Gold - $28.78
Silver - $2.65

Today:
Gold - $9249
Silver - $1116

I'm really concerned because I too fear those numbers may be correct.  That world is gonna be a terrible place to be living in.  Any roaring in these 20's will be the noise of the rioters :(

Better to predict prices in the purchasing number of Big Macs or cans of Coke values as some might reckon on the collapse of the dollar.

😁

If I am smart enough to survive a financial crash I think it would be unwise to give my silver to McDonalds and Coca Cola.

You're not buying Macs or Cokes merely seeing how many you could buy for your dollars.

If today you can buy a big Mac & coke for $5 then in say 5 years from now this will cost $10 then your dollar has devalued 100% so seeing the price of gold double in $ terms simply means it hasn't risen at all.

Has anyone else read that Canada might be trialing their own digital currency with could eventually lead to the phasing out of cash/fiat

Digital will probably be the norm at the end of this century as well.
Digital needs electricity - with power outages and computer hackers etc. it may be very vulnerable.
Also Governments through out all of history - whether it be fiat or actually gold and silver have ripped off their people by devaluation of their currency - it is going on today and will probably be even worse with digital currency, negative interest rates, etc.

My solution - I plan on spending my money as soon as I get it in my hands and borrowing as much as I can and buying stocks. The markets keep going up - it must go on forever -  Ah, the Roaring 20’s - I remember the first go round - it was so much fun - round 2 - let’s enjoy it as much as we can! I’m heading to the speakeasy on Friday night with a pocket of gold and silver dollars. Gonna dance and drink the night away! (Beep, beep, beep - my alarm just went off - what a crazy dream! Well off to work and the rat race - my reality 😢)

Yes 666 when you've added it up....

 Isn't that the devils number....,

Yeah I know weird! I was going to call myself Troy 777 as I was born in July 77.

777 over 666

Some believe 666 is code for Nero Ceasar. The 😈 was a man.

My prediction - scientists succeed in producing precious metals in lab environments at scale. Confidence plummets and these metals no longer hold investment value. Gold, Silver and Platinum even out as their use is now purely decorative. Nobody even knows what Palladium and Rhodium really is and there's no further manufacturing need, so they just fall flat to $0. Meanwhile most of the trees die and wood rises to $10,000 per ounce.

Gold - $10 an ounce

Silver - $10 an ounce

Platinum - $10 an ounce

Paladium - $0 an ounce

Rhodium - $0 an ounce

Wood - $10,000 an ounce

I have done zero research and these are my predictions.
