Hello @Paul, thank you for the reminder, and yes of course I follow the Una market :) ! I didn't notice it in the coming Coin cabinet auction . This will be interesting as we have really scarce datas from the market (this is good new to see these Unas in strong hands!)

It will also be interesting to track the auction prices of the 2 silver Unas (PF69 and PF70) (lot 274 &275 if i am correct)

The only other gold Una I follow is in Japan and I noticed that they rose the price from 9900000 JPY to 14900000 JPY (from € 80000 € to €120000 ) !! but not sold yet !

Are you on the starting blocks for the next coin to come 😄 ? It will be harder to secure one this time...

It will be gone in minutes. The Una inspired panic buying will mean that prices will go manic and could be great way to make money on a quick flip. I'm still sceptical on the long term growth prospects once the initial frenzy is over. Una is pretty unique so it will all depend on what design RM have gone for.

I have tried to follow things on the 2oz gold and found next to nothing info since we spoke last. An Ampex gold Una and lion I had saved, which was listed at $39,999 became ' unavailable ' presumed sold, but may have been withdrawn/held? Thanks for the Japanese info :) much appreciated.  Will try to get the second in series, but I expect an instant sell out. No chance of pre reserving when I asked on phone to royal mint last week. I bagged the 2oz 'wet Nellie' bond a few weeks back so hopefully some profit built into that. Hold until movie release for peak demand

Wow the gold Una has blown my mind. I have my eye on my first coin cabinet sale yes the 2oz silver Una is.....was mine! Who knows what will happen but it could be the perfect storm with the gold 2oz, and the silver 69 and 70 all in one place. Anyone wanting an Una has all the options right there. Screenshot_20200921-212531.thumb.png.60636f77b2c4ab9367adf1f35c9f2bfc.png

Morning check

and 2oz Gold Una & Lion now at £53,500 🤪🙄 its gained £3000 overnight

Where will it end at on Sunday ??

£75,000?

£100,000 ??

Who knows.  Is this the grand push from the start of collapse of fiat money into hard assets?  Una aside the value some super rare coins have been going for at auction this past year have nothing short of huge

People looking for any kind of return given the endless cuts in saving account interest rates. I've noticed a few people commenting on yesterdays NS&I cuts saying they're going to buy gold coins.

Might be interesting to follow this auction in October - MDC Monaco - Auction #6

2 'original' Una & Lion under the hammer soon in same sale

https://mdc.bidinside.com/en/lot/5834/victoria-1837-1901-una-1839-5-souverains-/

The best & highest graded of all the original Una & Lion up for auction

Starting bid is 500,000 Euros

and

https://mdc.bidinside.com/en/lot/5843/victoria-1837-1901-una-1839-5-souverains-/

PR62+

Start bid 150,000 euros

The last one at Heritage sale Heritage World Coin Auctions > CSNS Signature Sale 3083 in April 2020 was a PR62 and went for $250,000 USD / 231,175 euros

Some stunning & amazingly rare GB gold in the same sale

https://mdc.bidinside.com/en/cat/422/6/great-britain/1/

Best pieces

https://mdc.bidinside.com/en/lot/5832/guillaume-iv-1830-1837-5-souverains-1831-/ start bid 500,000 euros

https://mdc.bidinside.com/en/lot/5844/victoria-1837-1901-trade-dollar-1896-b-/ start bid 300,000 euros

https://mdc.bidinside.com/en/lot/5819/georges-iii-1760-1820-couronne-/  start bid 300,000 euros

https://mdc.bidinside.com/en/lot/5829/georges-iv-1820-1830-5-souverains-5-/ start bid 200,000 euros

Getting looking down the back of the sofa to save up :)

PS remember your +20% buyers premium  (!)

If this original Una & Lion goes for silly money (ie +1,000,000 euros) and makes headlines around the world, which in all likelihood it could by other coins auction results this year.

It can only be good for folk holding the recent modern Royal Mint Una & Lion issues 2oz silvers & gold

You deserve it @Paul

How many of us would've taken a quick flip and sold at £10,000? I would've.

Your patience and judgement will be rewarded.
