Who knows maybe it won't be a dragon at all! Maybe a phoenix or tiger. That would be inline with perth mint designs they done in the past.

I hadn't even thought about this even though I also collect the Dragon & ... series from Perth Mint.

You have a point. Next bar might as well not be a dragon, but one of the other celestial Feng Shui animals like the White Tiger, Red Phoenix or Black Tortoise.

Now I'm even more impatient about the 2020 design.

Hi! This should it be:

2020 Rectangle Dragon – 1oz Silver Bullion Coin

The design of the 2020 Rectangle Dragon silver bullion coin consists of stylised representations of two dragons encircling a flaming pearl. The design includes the following inscriptions: the initials of the designer Neil Hollis “NH”; the letter “P” and a microscopic letter “P”.

The obverse side of the coin bears an effigy of Queen Elizabeth II as designed by Jody Clark.

So this year it will be 2 dragons instead of 1 (and no tiger or so). No idea when it will be releases however.

Encircling on a rectangle. Strange decision because they already have done that in 2019 on the round coin.

We know already that the next rectangle dragon 1 oz coinbars will be double dragon.

See below screenshot. Will they start with the proof version? The online catalog for these releases doesn't show an image yet. I'm watching LPM and Apmex 'new arrivals' section.

Wait, you mean there will be no dragon bar?:(

Why wouldn't there not be one. Scroll up to the post of 'Wouter06'.

My post is hinting although the word 'rectangular' is not being used that this could be the one we are waiting for. Even though it for now would only be a proof version.

His post doesn't seem related to this rectangular dragon thread.

Just a reaction to reading the Perth Mint legislation on all their different coins.

2020 Double dragon should be pretty cool.

And here is the design! 😀 A bit “busy” in my opinion. But I like it!

Where did you find it? A presale from a bullion dealer or via Perth Mint site. I can't find it.

So has anyone found this available to buy online at all that can deliver to the UK?

With the price of silver basically hitting rock bottom, I'm not sure it even matters that I'd need to pay 20% VAT on some sites 😅

It has also been removed from the PS-coins site.
