I got an 1884-O Morgan from circulation for face value

There's a convenience store near where I live. I've gotten to know the owner and asked him to set back "large coins" for me. I was mainly interested in half dollars. I wasn't going to ask him to go through all his change and pick out silver quarters or anything like that. but it wasn't a big deal to set back halves. One day I got a 1968 40% half dollar and another time I got an Ike. Anyway a few weeks aago I went into the store and the owner wasn't there but instead a girl I had never seen was working. I asked her if she had any "big coins" and she said "yes". I heard her talking to somebody else in a foreign language, so I thought she just didn't understand me. She counted out my change and pulled a large coin out of the drawer and set it on the counter. At first I thought it was an Ike, but I got a better look at it and it turned out to be an 1884-O Morgan silver dollar! She asked me if I wanted it so I pulled 4 quarters out of my pocket and bought it. I showed it to my coin dealer and he said it was AU, and some of the posters on another coin forum I post to agreed that it is AU. I worked at a different convenience store for a year and a half and made some nice finds including Indian head pennies, steel pennies, V nickels, war nickels, buffalo nickels, about 35-40 silver Roosevelt dimes, silver quarters, Franklin halves, 40% halves, an 1861 British half penny, and many others. This Morgan, however, blows all of them out of the water. It's been a few weeks and I'm still in shock. I'm guessing that somebody gave the coin to the person who spent it and they were out of smokes or whatever and spent it for their nicotine fix. I'm very pleased with my find.

What is your best circulation find?

(It's not as gold as it looks in these pictures...they were quickie snap shots and I didn't take the time to set the lighting up better.)

You posted this exact same topic last month - and before that on CoinTalk!

I don't see anywhere in his post that says it happened very recently.

Even a year ago, it's still worth posting about.
